The Pre launch party for the search for the Elite Model Nigeria, the franchise owner of the Elite Model Management in Nigeria recently took place at The Rehab Place, Ajose Adeogun, Victoria Island, Lagos. It was the official introduction of the 14 finalists to the guests which comprises of those who matter in the fashion and beauty industry. The audition which took place on July 9th and 10th 2010 had hundred of girls signing in for the model search before the lucky 14 girls made it to the grand finale. Over the years, the Elite Model Look contest has offered many young girls a chance to start a career in international modeling at the highest level. This report brings to you details of this modeling search and what to expect at the grand finale.
ABOUT ELITE MODEL LOOK NIGERIA
The 3rd edition of the Elite Model search taking place this year, promises to be bumper packed with cutting edge modeling show ethics on parade. With Nigeria’s 50th anniversary around the corner, Elite Model Look is putting up structures for the grand finale of the event. The winner of this competition will be representing Nigeria at the Elite Model International, the platform through which international models like Naomi Campbell, Gisele Bundchen, Tyra Banks, Cindy Crawford, Nigeria‘s own Oluchi and many others gained international recognition .Nigeria‘s version of the search, Elite model look Nigeria is organized by BETH modeling agency, owned by Ex Beauty Queen, Elizabeth Elohor Aisen. The search has girls from all over the 36 states of the Federation participating. The final screening of the 14 finalists who will be taking part at the grand finale was done by Elite director of scouting in Milan, Italy, Paola Baratto.
DETAILS OF EVENT
Come September, selected contestants will be taken into camp for a week of intensive grooming. This training will cover all the professional aspects of modeling. The grooming exercise will have the 14 finalists experience and undergo fitness training, makeovers, nutrition lectures, professional photo sessions as well as a run through of the event. Elite model look Nigeria Finale would be held in Lagos by September 12th 2010 @ Civic center, Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island, Lagos. The Elite Model Look international would be broadcasted in over 80 countries with over 80 Contestants who were earlier selected from their various countries for the final showdown. Designers on the search include Vonne, Melisa Odabash and Jewel by Lisa while the makeup will be handled by Lola Maja.
PRIZES TO BE WON
The winner gets a chance to win a modeling contract with Elite model Management worldwide, and an all expense paid trip to New York city and opportunity to represent Nigeria at the Elite Model Look Finale in Shangai ,China, October 10 2010. Also the top 3 finalists will go home with $150,000 worth of modeling contract Cape Town, South Africa.
