TITI ABUBAKAR RECEIVES INT’L AWARD ON WOTCLEF

If information reaching us is anything to go by, the wife of the former Vice President, Titi Abubakar is billed to pick up an international recognition award for the activities on her pet project, WOTCLEF.
Sources disclosed that the wife of Bishop of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM) will also receive recognition award. We gathered that the award is organized by Great Africa Network for Women in collaboration with Nigerians in Diaspora Organization, Germany (NIDO), and Nigeria Community, Berlin in partnership with Institute for Cultural Diplomacy, Berlin.
The event sources said will hold in Berlin, Republic of Germany on Saturday 4, 2010 at 6pm, Nigerian time. The organizers are also responsible for the Culture and Award ceremony to celebrate Nigeria’s 50th independence anniversary.
We can also tell you that the organizers are already in partnership with Institute for Cultural Diplomacy, Berlin where the event will hold. It was gathered that star actress, Shan George will entertain guests at the event.
According to Kate Imaseun, Executive Director and founder of Great Africa Network, the event is a conference designed to address the complex multi layered issues of human trafficking and forced labor/prostitution in women and children. Great Africa Network for women was established in 1999, to assist Nigerian women and children who were often trafficked to Europe under false promises of a better life and forced into prostitution and labor.
