NFS STORMS DUBAI FASHION FIESTA






The Dubai Fashion Fiesta is scheduled for 22nd – 24th July, 2010 at the prestigious Dubai World Trade Center. Dubai fashion Fiesta is organized by Emirates Visions and the Government of United Arab Emirates. Dubai Fashion Fiesta is the premium fashion event in Asia with designers, models, Buyers and fashion press from all over the world participating. Nigeria was invited for the first time last year through Legendary Gold Limited. And Legendary Gold Limited presents the Nigeria Fashion Show at the Dubai Fashion Fiesta this month for the 2nd consecutive year.In the last 11 years, Legendary Gold has created platforms for Nigerian designers in Paris, Milan, New York, Rome, Stockholm, Washington DC, Atlanta, Houston, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Tel Aviv etc.
Legendary Gold Limited organizes annually in Lagos The Nigeria Fashion Show, The
Nigeria Fashion Week, The Nigeria Fashion Awards and the Nigeria Model Awards. Legendary Gold will be presenting 6 top Nigerian labels this year.
They include:

O’GODOR
O’godor predominantly uses the Ankara (African fabric) as a medium of expression
to create cosmopolitan designs that can compete favorably with its international
counterparts. Established in 2003 in Abuja by Ifeoma Anyanwu, O’godor has fast
become a household name in the Nigerian industry. Ifeoma who hails from Imo
state holds a B.Ed in English from the university of Ibadan, and a diploma in
computer operation and management from the University of Lagos.

REEDAS
The idea behind REEDAS is to create timeless and elegant pieces. This is done
through exquisite and well thought out designs on rich fabric and mastery of the
tapestry. Simplicity is REEDAS hallmark! The Nassarawa born creative director of
REEDAS Rukkayah Mohammed Suleiman, is carving a niche for her signature label in
the fashion industry, The 30 year old is happily married with two kids and has
over the years mastered the art of creating custom made outfits that cut across
different cultures for a diverse group of client.

THE HOUSE OF FARRAH
TheHOUSE OF FARRAH® brand has grown to become one of the most-sought after fashion labels. After giving up being a lawyer and an IT consultant to embrace her
childhood dream and passion for the world of fashion Fatima Aliyu Garba became
the Chief Executive Officer and Creative Director of the House of Farrah. Fatima
has brought the same tenacity and joie de vivre that set her apart in her
graduating class to fashion and the results have been an astonishingly fast rise
to the top. She is a law graduate of Brunel University, a member of the Nigerian
Bar and also has a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems).

YOUNASS COLLECTION
YOUNASS COLLECTION was born out of a mixture of a nomadic heritage which
Created a unique fusion African fabric with European cuts and the oriental
touch this combination stems from Soraya Adji mixed parentage. Although she was
born Nigerian, with Cameroonian-Fulani parentage, the designer grew up in Paris,
from an early age. She says her biggest inspiration is her mother, a fashionable
and well dressed lady that traveled around the world.

CHARLSAWYERR
CharlSawyerr Nigeria carries the name of its creator and Creative Director -
Charles Sawyerr who was born January 15th 1984, he holds a B.A in fine art from
the University of Porthacourt. He beat 10 other designers to emerge the winner
of the of the Bayelsa Fashion Week in 2009. He is not a new comer to the fashion
industry as he has shown his collections at several shows around Nigeria befor
winning the 2009 Bayelsa fashion Week.

ROUGE
Rouge established in 2008 was inspired by the elements – earth, wind, water and
fire. Symbolic of her favorite colour - red, Chichi Iyiebguniwe exchanged the
education she received at the University of Lagos for her passion for fashion.
Since then, the amiable Delta State indigene has risen from student fashion to
participating in the Nigeria – South Africa bilateral celebration held in Abuja
in 2009
